Tami and Jim have been members of the Samoyed Club of America since 1989; and members of the Barbary Coast Samoyed Club, Inc. since its beginning.
We are also members of the Inland Northwest Samoyed Fanciers.
Tami is currently provisional to judge Samoyeds and is enjoying this new facet of dog shows.
We got our first Samoyed in 1985 from Kathy Vincent (Sunburst Samoyeds). As soon as we were able to buy a house we started looking for a Sammy. We got on Kathy's waiting list, and about 6 months later we got our girl---Sunburst's Iced Flash Flame, HIC. Of course, we said we weren't interested in showing, but later that year we attended a dog show and it looked like fun.
Next thing I know, I'm hooked!
Samoyed breeders have a responsibility to remain true to the Samoyed standard and the working heritage of our breed. To that end, Firecloud Samoyeds strives always to produce Samoyeds who are not only healthy and beautiful, but possess sound structure, the ability to do the work they were originally bred for, and the temperament that endears them to their families. Only dogs that are OFA clear for hips and CERF clear for eyes are used in our breeding program.
We currently split our time between Northern California and North Idaho and attend dog shows almost every month.
I can't imagine now what our lives would be like without the Sammys and all the wonderful people we've met through them.
