We know that when looking for a Border Collie, most people want a family companion. They also want a dog who will excel at a given sport and be a fun athletic partner. And, after years of training and likely thousands of dollars spent on this dog, most want to know that their beloved pet will be around for as long as possible. Our goal is to provide that dog.

We expect our Border Collies to live in our house peaceably, compete in our choice of dog spots, help us on our farm, and pass all their health clearances. Our personal dogs are registered with ABCA and AKC. We compete with them in AKC events (not conformation) and Teri shows them in 4-H events from a regional to national level.

Our dogs have OFA certified hips, elbows, and patellae (knees), CERF certified eyes, and BAER certified hearing

 

 

We depend heavily on our Great Pyrenees. They are the most important workers on our farm. We expect that they will independently and as a team to protect our livestock from predators. Our dogs must be able to walk on a leash, come in the house for a bath, allow us to medicate them, and tolerate rides to the vet. We invest much time, money, and love in our dogs and have faced the financial and emotional devestation when one of these great protectors passes away too soon. We want our Pyrenees to be around for as long as possible.

With this in mind, we strive to produce puppies that fit all the above criteria. We select our breeding stock based on working ability, temperament, health certifications, and longevity in the field. We want excellent guardians who are easy to life with and will be around to work or play for many years.

Our dogs have OFA certified hips, elbows, and patellae, are CERF certified, and OFA cardiac certified.
